Neurosurgical Associates, P.C. was incorporated in 1972 from the
private practice established in the 1950's by one of the Island's
neurosurgical pioneers, Joseph A. Epstein, M.D. Dr. Epstein is
Emeritus Director of Neurosurgery at both Long Island
Jewish Medical Center and North Shore University Hospital/Manhasset
and he continues to do consultation work. The tradition of
excellence established by Dr. Epstein has been enhanced by his
colleagues in their practice, who each excel in a variety of
neurosurgical subspecialties, including three who specialize in
pediatric neurosurgery.

practices on Long Island.

Neurosurgical Associates, P.C. is located near North Shore
University Hospital in Manhasset, New York, Long Island Jewish Medical Center
in New Hyde Park, and Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola. The practice hospitalizes patients at highly-respected tertiary care and teaching facilities and
renders consultation and supportive care to other community
hospitals in the North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health system, Winthrop University Hospital-Long Island Health Network
System and the Nassau University Medical Center.
The cadre of physicians
in the practice have served as Chiefs of the Neurosurgery Services
at numerous hospitals in the region including both Long Island Jewish
Medical Center and North Shore University Hospital/Manhasset, which
have now merged to form the North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health
System, Winthrop University Hospital, and the Nassau University
Medical Center.
